Terms of Business

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change! If you need to amend your booking, please let us know at least 24 hours before your session. Your deposit cannot be refunded, but it can be moved to a new booking date.

For any changes or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or if you do not attend your booking (no-show) the deposit will be forfeited.

Thank you for your understanding — this helps us keep things running smoothly and ensure everyone gets a chance to paint and create!

Payment Methods

We accept cash and card payments. (Please note, card payments are available for totals over £5)
Please Note: we do not take American Express

Holding Policy

We will keep your painted pottery safe for 1 month after we have informed you it is ready for collection.   After this time, we unfortunately can’t guarantee storage space — any uncollected pieces will be donated to charity or recycled to make room for new creations.

Food & Drink Policy

You’re welcome to bring your own bottled water with you and we’ll happily refill it for you during your visit.  We also offer a selection of drinks and snacks for you to enjoy while you paint — perfect for keeping those creative juices flowing!  Outside food is not permitted unless previously agreed as part of an organised party booking.

Accessibility

The Pottery Cove is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors. We strive to ensure that our studio is accessible and comfortable for individuals of all ages and abilities.

  • A portable ramp is available to assist with access over the front step. Please advise us at time of booking if you require this facility.
  • An accessible toilet is provided, which also includes baby changing facilities.
  • Staff are trained to offer assistance where needed and will make reasonable adjustments to support individual requirements.

Visitors with specific accessibility needs are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements to support their visit.

Customer Experience / Rules of the Studio

Supervision Policy

All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times during their visit. Our activities are designed to be safe and enjoyable for all ages and we ask that adults remain present to support and supervise their young artists.

Behaviour Policy

We’re proud to offer a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone. Visitors are expected to treat others with kindness and respect, and to help maintain a calm, creative atmosphere. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in being asked to leave the studio.

Photography & Social Media

Guests are welcome to take photos during their visit — we love seeing your creations! Feel free to tag us @thepotterycoveuk on social media. By attending, you agree that we may occasionally capture photos for promotional use; please let a member of staff know if you’d prefer not to be included.

Health & Safety

Our studio includes specialist equipment such as kilns and glazes. These are operated only by trained staff. For your safety, please follow all guidance provided and avoid touching any equipment unless invited to do so. Children must be kept away from kiln areas at all times.

Care of Work

We take every precaution to ensure your pottery is handled with care. However, due to the nature of the materials and kiln process, The Pottery Cove Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss, or breakage that may occur during the drying, glazing, or firing process.  These are sometimes beyond our control and part of the handmade journey.
